It's a BOY!

We had our ultrasound today and it's a boy! He looks healthy and allready weighs a whopping 14 ounces. Good boy. He was a little shy at first and it took a bit to figure out if it was going to be a boy or girl but in the end we managed to get this very personal ultrasound picture. I am sure when he is older he will love that I posted this on the internet.
We are so happy

Half Way!

We are officially half way there...20 weeks! Sometimes it feels like such an accomplishment (I can't believe I lived through that awful morning/day/night sickness) and other times it feels like we have just begun. I do feel the baby move every now and then and it is all pretty amazing.
Next week we have our ultrasound. We are very excited to find out if it is a boy or a girl...stay tuned for ultrasound pics

It has crossed my mind

The following is a list of things that have crossed my mind in regards to the baby, pregnancy, and delivery. Mind you, most are completely unreasonable, I do realize this. However, these things have still caused me to pause a moment and think "Oh my, what have we gotten ourselves into?"
1. What if the baby whines all the time like Buddy?
2. What if the baby does not like me?
3. I think I understand why pregnant women in poor countries would eat dirt. Because the hunger I feel is so intense that if there were no food, dirt might work. Don't worry though, no pica here, just an observation.
4. What if I can't push the baby out? Then what?
5. Will Rob be a good doula (or "doulo" as he likes to call himself)

stretch pants

Ann's generous offer to purchase me leopard print stretch pants while in Nashville got me thinking...how great are stretch pants?
Thank god they made a come back
I have one pair and have managed to create a number of cute ensembles using that one pair of stretch pants. You may not think you can pull this "stretch pants with any shirt you can find that fits over you stomach" look off...but you would be surprised.
Thank you baby, you are helping your mother live her "Project Runway" dreams
